Before you start

  • Copy of the Commercial Register
  • Provide documents demonstrating the financial capacity to implement the project
  • Provide an Omanization program for Omanis
  • A copy of a valid ID card of the authorized signatories
  • A copy of the documents verifying the accuracy of the data
  • A quotation for purchasing or building the ship
  • A copy of the ship lease contract
  • A copy of the ship's charts, approved by specialized global authorities
  • A copy of the valid maritime registration certificate and the ship's navigational license
  • Photos of the used ship showing the condition of the ship and the interior and exterior facilities
  • Provide a feasibility study for the project that includes fishing aspects and the manufacturing and marketing plan

Steps

Special conditions

  • The institution/company must be Omani and registered with the competent authorities, and its activities must include fishing, manufacturing, marketing and exporting fish
  • The owners of the institution/company and its branches must be Omanis, Foreign partners may be allowed in accordance with the Foreign Capital Investment Law
  • The institution/company must commit to marine fishing laws and regulations, and the boat to be registered must not have been convicted within the past three years of violating the marine fishing law or practicing illegal fishing without informing the IUU
  • The institution/company must commit to the Omanization rates determined by the competent authorities
  • Submit the original documents required for verification
  • Getting the necessary licenses for other facilities related to the project to be established from the competent authorities
